Hello,
My brother just recently installed a JVC aftermarket unit into a '94 Saturn SL 1. He used a Scosche wiring harness. Everything works fine except for the dash lights, parking lights, and tail-lights. He did NOT cap that illumination wire. errr. I'm fairly certain he blew a fuse for those items however he cannot find a fuse that is blown. He checked two boxes and pulled all the fuses just to make sure; everything is fine.
Anybody know where a fuse can be hiding in this car? Thanks!

Yep..that was checked. Along with the one inside the car. Is there possibly an inline fuse somewhere?

Ok..found the fuse. Near passenger door. Now, lights work but then radio goes dead and doesn't save settings. Factory radio works fine.
Ideas?
Thanks,
Eric

Check the harness again, to make sure the colors are properly matched. It kind of sounds like the constant power and illumination wires got switched. Also, check to make sure the ground wire is hooked up properly. The wires on the factory harness should be:
orange - constant 12v +
black or BLACK/ white - ground
yellow - switched 12v + (this should be right next to the constant power)

agree with chriswallace187 sounds like a couple of wires are switched around....that should do the trick...

good luck
