I put a Alpine headunit in my 99 tahoe with a scosche harness, now speakers in rear door don' t work but the 4x10 's in the rear ceiling do. Anyone know how to tie these speakers together (series or parallel)? Or any other tips or tricks? Thanks

Wire the roof 4x10s and door speakers in series:

There is a pink wire in the truck's radio harness that needs to be hooked up to the radio's remote wire. This will turn on the small amp under the driver's side dash that powers the rear door speakers.

I'm pretty sure there isn't an external amp in the 95 to 99 model of suburban.

The only wires on the vehicle harness that aren't matched up to wires on the radio harness are a dark GREEN/ black (VSS for factory speed comp. volume) and two wires that resemble speaker wires (I think they are light green and light GREEN/ black. My wife has it at work right now so I can't check, but I know they didn't match any of the wires for the other 4 speakers.) It seems as if one would be pos. & one neg., but would there be only one set for 2 speakers?

There should be an amp for the two rear door speakers under the driver's side dash right of the brake pedal. If there are speakers in the doors ( check behind the door panel grills) then they are run only by this amp. The radio triggers a relay next to the amp. The trigger wire is pink and activates the orange power feed to the amp. The amp doesn't even look like an audio amp. It is a small silver box usually. Have a look under the dash. The correct plug will have all 4 of the rear speakers going into it plus an orange and a black wire. I think the output wires to the speakers are tan white and red.

FYI: I know what is in a chevy suburban and there is no such amp on this year of the suburban.
