I've got 2 Phoenix Gold Ti10's that I want to put into some q-customs boxes for the back doors on my tahoe. The boxes are 3/4" mdf, and the spec sheet with the subs says to use a minimum of 1" mdf. If I use the boxes anyways will it hurt the subs, or will I just go through boxes like mad? Any suggestions on strengthening the boxes without giving up too much air space?

In this case you must choose the sub to fit the box, not the box to fit the sub. Reconsider either your choice of subs or choice of box, if you really want those Ti subs, then have the boxes custom built.
