I bought 3 12 inch alpine type S and i was building a box for them. My PPI 2150 600Watt rms amp is running 2 of them and the third I need a amp for. While am building the box i wanna find out if each subs should have a different cabinet
the side ones will be the ones powered by the 600 and the middle is gonna be powered by something else.
What should I do and how big of an amp for the other sub.

Yes each sub must have it's own separate cabinet, no if's and's or but's. Find yourself one of these two types of amps. A 2 channel amp that will bridge to mono and give about the same amount of rms power as the other 2 subs will be getting or a mono sub amp that will run all 3 subs, this is the better choice.

yes he could get a mono block for the 1 sub.  But it would never sound as good as 1 amp to run all 3 subs.

first off all they are three of the same subs of the same size so that means you dont have to get different cabinets for each, and since they are the subs they are you can wire them up into your current amp. sh*t you can wire them up into any amp,. here is a senerio if you take two of them and wire them up to one amp and do the other sub to another there will be a difference. the one will either be faster or slower making the bass sound echo e spelling? which means you will have two bass rythms so if your listening to a song with a lot of bass like a trance or house song where bass is frequent than you will here two bass tones meaing aon a four count one bass tone will hit at 3 and the other will hit at four and over and over simple cause now two amps are the same even if there from the same place. tell me what you got and i can go over with you some ways to wire them up
example dual coil 4 ohm subs, single coil 4 ohm subs,
dual coil 2 ohm subs or single coil 2 ohm subs.

mecp certification is not always needed. I have it and it has not helped me out at all. my experience out shines it.

you can not i repeat can not have the subs in the same "shared" enclosure if you have them wire to seperate channels or especially amps due to the fact that the subs will in effect destroy each other and cause cancelation and many other fun things to work with.

if your example ment you can mix impedances on subs then it is incorrect. but all together your example just confused me sorry.

NO THEY CANNOT BE IN THE SAME CHAMBER. EACH SUB MUST BE IN IT"S OWN CHAMBER SO AS NOT TO INTERACT WITH THE OTHER SUBS.

MECP not always needed but common sense definitely is.
