Hey, I have 2 Pioneer TS-W1041DVC subs...they are 400W rms, 800W max.  They are also dual voice coil (4 ohm each voice coil).  I got an awesome deal on a Kenwood KAC-X810D mono amp and i am going to power them with this. The amps specs are as follows:400W rms @ 4 ohm, 1000W rms @ 1 ohm, 1600W max @ 1 ohm .  I am wanting to know is how is the best way to hook these up?  Should i wire each sub in parrallel then wire them in series to get a total resistance of 4 ohms?  Or wire each sub in series each is 8 ohms then put them together in parrallel so the total resistance is 4 ohms?  Or should i wire each sub in parrallel so they are 2 ohms each and wire them in parrallel to get a total resistance of 1 ohm?  I guess what i am really wanting to know is when i take into account the total power my subs will be pulling from the amp is it going to be 800W rms (1600W max), or do i treat them as one sub and the total power pulled will be 400W rms (800W max)?

thanks

if you wire them in 4ohm then you will get 400wrms to them, 200wrms per sub and 100wrms per coil. if you wire them at 1 ohm then you will get 1000wrms total 500wrms per sub and 250wrms per coil... all of these numbers are relative tho. im not sure about how accurate the ratings on the kenwood amps are.
