Best way to wire up my 4 ohm dvc 15's

I have a 1988 suburban and recently bought 2 4 ohm dvc 15 inch audiobahn flame excursion speakers. I also bought a Kole Q2-1440 1440 watt max 2 channel 4 ohm amp . What is the best way run my speakers for best spl. the speakers are in a sealed box and does that matter. they curently face towards the back. I need all and any advise I can get. I have thought of getting a bandpass encloser. Would that help at all.1988 suburban on 20 inch Daytons

If I understand correctly, the amp is rated 4 ohms maximum load... is that correct? If so, you will not be able to wire 2 DVC 4ohm woofers for maximum load. You will be able to run 1ohm (incompatible), 2ohm (incompatible) or 8ohm (compatible) per channel. This brings another point... maximum load will NEVER give best SQ. If you wire the voice coils in series, as suggested above, you will wire one to each stereo channel of the amp for a nominal load of 8 ohms. Do not worry about bridging the amp, but if there is a mono button, use it. This is really only necessary if your woofers will be in a common enclosure. Additionally, for SQ, put the bandpass idea out of your head... that ain't gonna happen. Stick with ported or sealed. Sorry, I just re-read your original post... bandpass is definitely your best option, if all you want is SPL. Ported will give a good mix of SPL and SQ, but avoid the sealed box, if all you want is SPL.It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice.
