has anyone ever heard of the ADS2001 amplifier. its a very old piece of equipment probably dating back to 1974. it was a two piece amp consisting of the amp itself and a switching power supply. i recently had a loss in which it was stolen. this piece had alot of centimental value and i was hoping to find another one but i highly doubt it. if anyone has any info on the ADS2001 i would be greatly interested. any help is greatly appriecated.

Holy flashbacks batman!!!
Wow, I suspect it will be almost impossible to replace that amp. What a terrible, terrible loss.
Maybe try www.audiogon.com . Outside of that I would not be able to guess where you may acquire one

Start looking around at pawn shops for it.  Some druggy prolly snached it.

Pre-dates my time as well. That had to be an awesome piece.

I need quality equipment, feel free to donate.

Those two-piece Power Plate amps were great.  I believe they date from about 1978, but I could be wrong.  You are unlikely to find one except maybe on eBay or through an enthusiast group.  I spoke to my contact at Directed (who now own a/d/s) and he said there is NO old stock stored anywhere in the world.
