changing head unit in morning....looking for instructions/tips on factory head unit removal...any help is appreciated2002 durango stereo removal -- posted image.

There's one screw in the coin slot to the right of the A/C controls.  Remove it and give the bezel a good pull.  It just snaps in.  There's 4 screws holding the radio in.  You will need a kit, harness and antenna adapter for your project.  Good luck!

most dash kits come with easy to follow instructions

metra is excellent

electronics run off of smoke, when you let the smoke out they stop working

thanks guys but I figured it out on my own....it's the same as the dakota....I hadn't seen the dash until I started the install so I wasn't sure but knew where to go from time i saw it.
