Should I? Hmm...

Hey I'm just kickin around an idea and was wonderin if it would be a good idea or just plain stupidity. I have a 15" Rockford HX2 in a 3ft ported box. To that I have going a 1000w @ 2ohm Rockford mono amp. In the ported box I am getting a little distortion with the sub. I was told on an earlier post that that was alot of power going to a ported 15" even though it's rated at 1200w peak, so I should turn down the gain.

So my question is; I have 2 polk 10"s and was thinking about running those along with the 15". But I would rather not have to spend too much money doing so. And don't want to have to worry bout too much draw on the car if I were to run 3 amps. I would like to run all 3 subs off of the one amp that I have. But... since it's a mono amp I am worried of underpowering my 15". I have the gain at about half at the moment so I really wouldn't be losing too much if I were to split the power in half and turn up the gain right? Also how would be the best way to run these if I were to do so? Or is it even possible? I am not going to compete I just want a good clean low with a little thump from the 10's. Suggestions? Or if you just want to call me stupid that's ok too.  Thanks guys.

Don't run the 15 w/ the two tens.  It will be like putting audiobahans in the trunk (lol, not that funny but i had to    ).  Yeah Rushman said it.  Sound frequencies are different for the two sizes of subs.  It's like drugs... just say no.
