I have an 89 Nissan Maxima with a bose system. I am trying to install a Panisonic head unit. I have wired the ground to ground, the power antena, the constant and the red accessory wire to the white wire that was in the car harnes. When I remove the faceplate the flashing lite blinks but I am not getting any power out of the system. Nothing comes on. My question is what am I missing?

You have to connect the blue/white wire from your Panasonic headunit to the factory harness to turn on the factory amp.
Here is the wiring diagram for your car.
Match the wire up against the headunit wire that you have, then it should work.
Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it.getting rid of factory amplified speakers -- posted image.
