If I replace 04' Taurus radio/CD control with 00-03' radio/CD player, the airbag will be disabled. If I connect a 10K resistor across pin 3 and pin 17, as suggested by an earlier post, the airbag light will stay off if radio is not connected. However the airbag will be disabled again if I connect the new CD player. I am considering disconnecting one of the wires to CD player. Does anyone happen to know what those two wires for? Thanks.

Works by cut off pin 3 wire (lt.blue/tan) and connect a 10K resistor to the dark blue/orange wire.
