Of course you can used mono amps to run that. Will it sound good or even right? Maybe not, depending on the amp. The XTANT amp will definitely make it sound good, baring the fact that you have the cash to shell out for one of those baby's. Really, i got a Cadence ZRS-4 and i couldn't be more happy with it, being that it powers a full 125 Watts x 4 @ 4 ohms RMS and cleans out the competition for SQ.
