Once we wripped out the factory stereo, the speaker wire colors does not match what is suppose to be there.  So we traced the wires and found all the right color wires on the driver side and cut them to splice in new wires to run to the new deck, but you can get one speaker working, but when you try and put another one on, it will stop working.  Anyone know what is wrong and how to fix it, either that or tell me what color speaker wire is inside my deck to figure out which wire is what.........SOMEONE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1992 Ford Explorer Stereo Information, There is the info for the vehicle. The Deck colors are gonna be white for the drivers front speaker, grey for the passanger front speaker, green for the drivers rear speaker and purple for the passanger rear speaker. The colored wires with the black stripes are the negative speaker wires and the solid colors are the positive. IE White is Drivers front Positive and White with a black stripe is drivers front negative. Hope this helps, just take your time and I am sure you will get it.

I know they sell wire harness' but the proper one does not fit!  Also, those colors that are posted on there as the speaker colors are correct when you actually find the wire in the door, but it is now what is showing behind the deck.  But when we try to splice into the ones in the door, one speaker will work fine, but when we try to hook in another it stops working!  I need help!!!!

Did you try bumping the speakers seperatly with a 9 volt battery. All that means is you take your positive and negative speaker wires and touch them to the positive and negative posts of the battery and the speaker will make a pop noise. The only reason why I ask is because if you have a incorrect wire that is either a ground or power wire when you hook the decks speaker lead up to it, the internal amp on the deck would probally shut down. This is wat I am leaning towards as your problem. Also I cant resist saying this, but if the "proper" harness doesnt fit then doesnt that mean its not "proper".
