I just purchased a 2002 Tahoe and wanted to know if I got a Bose system or not installed? How can I tell? The window sticker didnt say so but the window sticker didnt tell me I had 3rd row seating either. I didnt ask the salesguy just in case he wanted to jack up the price of the vehicle.

I know its a stupid question but I know you guys are the only ones who may know.

Bose would be plastered all over the interior, , if you haven't seen it by now, your VERY LUCKY, , the bose option is a massive waste of money.  If you feel you need a little better stereo in the future, pay a visit to a local car audio shop, you will be much more pleased with a $500 stereo, then what you would have gotten with the $2000( is that about right?) bose upgrade....

Ok, so what are the correct speaker sizes? I got a 9 speaker system, Crutchfield says 6.5's and 5.25 will fit, which one would drop right in without any mods? Can the sub just be replaced with an after market one and hooked to a amp?

I would really like to know what all the speaker sizes are......i see 2 in each door in the front, one in each door in the back and 2 small ones in the frame and the sub.

I also would like to know if http://www.crutchfield.com/S-fcWs7nRxbTY/cgi-bin/ProdGroup.asp?g=182750would put out some good bass?

The pre-built Q-logic enclosures and subs will put out good "non-over powering" bass. I mean, it will basically fortify the low frequency extension of your system without being too "boomy".
IIRC, you have two speakers on the dash, one on each side, correct? These are ~1.5~2in tweeters. I have heard, by word of mouth, that the best upgrade for the Bose systems is to replace and/or the tweeters with aftermarket ones, and keep the other speakers. You can try this and see/hear if you like it enough. If you do, then you don't have to spend anymore moneyBose or not? -- posted image., and if you don't like it enough, you can just continue upgrading from there

6.5" in the front and rear doors, front doors also have a set of tweets, you can use almost any aftermarket component set tweets, and with minimal modification have them fit.

ok. i have my mind set on buying these items for my setup:

Infinity 6000cs 6.5" components x2 (front and back)

Q-Logic 8" sub enclosure + RF 8" sub (P28S4)

Another 8" sub (P28S4) for the back factory sub location

And a RF P8002 amp to drive eveything.

How would this system sound? Do i need seperate amps or would that one amp be enough?

"Bose" is not neccesarily plastered all over. My '03 GTP has it marked on four speaker locations but there is no reference to it on the HU or on the rear amp. Or does this mean that it is a combination of sane and insane?
