I am trying to install some subs on a factory cd player, and there are no rca jacks in the back to plub my speakers into.  Where should i wire this cord to. Can i just hardwire it to the rear or front speakers which go into the head unit?

You should use an LOC - line output converter.  This is connected to a set of speakers and creates a line-level signal for your amp.  (The link is simply to show you what one looks like, not necessarily a recomendation since I've never used that one.)
