OK my boy jake here has a dodge ram pickup 2002. He's been wnating a system for quite some time but cant decide what subs to get. Hes not under too much of a spending limit so hes got some money. He plans on putting the subs in the custom enclosure they sell on fleabay that goes under the back seat for 12" subs. There are so many brands to choose from but thats where the 12volt comes into play. He listens to rap mostly and wants quite a bit of SQ but also wants rediculous amount of bass that doesnt drain out the components. I know he should go around and listen for himself cause everyone has different ears but i have heard some good subs and i know i can trust u guys for good subs. He wants 2 12" subs and is a fan of SQ but still wants some clean pounding bass. Any suggestions just holla. Thanks

Does he have an amp yet or is that yet to come?

Oh, and BTW a custom enclosure is only custom when you know what subs are going into it.  Post a link to it if you will.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

If money isn't an issue, I'd suggest maybe some W7's. Those are great SQL subs.

He's going to need a lot of power for those little enclosures.  I hope they are very well built!  Finding SQ with that small of an airspace is going to be a tough one.....

Now that I think about it, if he's more of an SQ guy, check out Image Dynamics. Great SQ subs that are made to work well in small boxes. That or maybe look into Adire Shivas ( adireaudio)

I know from experience *any size* W6 will sound awful in a .67f3 box. That's a sub that likes lotsa breathing room, no matter what "Small Box Excellence. . . Redefined" crap JL likes to spew. Not only that, I'd be suprised if he could fit a W6 in a box that tiny... that sub's magnet structure is so enormous..
The Q is going to be so high on that box I couldn't make any recommendations...
.. well okay here's a recommendation... scrap the 2x12's idea and get a single woofer with enough air to actually breath ...
