For 60 bucks, what the hell. Let er rip. I would throw it into a ported box and it should sound perfectly fine.

Yeah, pioneer has a reputation for making stuff with GREAT value. I'm personally an alpine guy (although I like any quality equiptment), but Pioneer stuff is much more bang for the buck. I've actually got pioneer coax's in my doors.....they were good speakers for cheap!
Go for it....should be fine...
