A guy is trying to sell me two brand new 10" Type R subs (1021D, dual 2ohm, 300W RMS, 2004 model) and Alpine MRD-M300 (300W @ 2ohm) amp cheaper than one 12" Type R (1241D) with the same amp.
Is this a good deal? I know that two 10’s would be underpowered, but since I would get it relatively cheap do you think they would work without risk of damaging the amp and/or subs? Or is it better just to stick with one 12 and M300 amp?

Another question: how would 12 inch Alpine Type R sub (dual 4ohm) match with JBL GTO301.1 amp (294W RMS @ 2ohm)?

that is a good deal......i have one type r 10 and it sounds great, so two should really hit. i've had multiple people say they thought i had two 12's.
