Hello, I was with 2 friends today and we were talking about subs, and got into kind of a argument.  My one friend just got two Kicker Solo Baric L7's in his car, when I happened to mention JL audio.  Both of them said that JL's arent any good.  Please type your opinion as to what is better:

1.) JL Audio

2.) Kicker
3.) Earthquake

I am still sticking with JL audio.  By the way, we were talking about JL Audio 12W7's, Kicker Solo Baric 12" L7's, or general 12" earthquakes.  Thanks.

JL is the best in the way of sound quallity but is not worth the money they ask so i gues thats number 1
Kicker is the next best i think
earthquake there are some old ones in the corner of the shop but i haven't actually seen one in like 2 years.
I just use Alphasonik, great prices, and quallity.

jl and kicker are really not to be compared if you know what i mean, jl are always aiming to achieve the best in sound quality where music is reproduced at its best whereas all kicker wants to do is blow your ear drums to peices so really you can't compare the two.

JL Audio is not overpriced. Some people just can't handle the sticker shock JL, Kicker, or Earthquake -- posted image.

If everyone on this forum had an infinite amount of money to buy whatever they wanted, whenever they wanted, until the day they died, there would be zero posts about the cost of a JL Audio whatever. Then again, there would be other things you could buy that are more expensive and better than JL Audio with that kind of cash flow, and you wouldn't have anybody complaining about the price of those things, either. McIntosh, anyone? JL, Kicker, or Earthquake -- posted image.

Ok JL, Kicker, or Earthquake -- posted image.

Is it just me or does alphasonik look like rebadged audiobahn stuff. Especially the lower end amps and subs.

I hate to sound like the hugest JL fanboy around, but I dont think Alphasonik amps (and everything else made by them) could hold a candle to JL.

Correct again, I only hate JL for there price, but I hate all products that cost me money.. so figure that out
now as with Alpha, there High Current amps are the only line that will actually perform as long as you can get it 16-18 volts..  but the same can be said for Abahns rack mount amps..so take that for what it is, both are being used by competitors on the Termpro db drag circuit

JL, Alphasonik, Audiobahn in the same league? Please... If you can't afford the best stuff, don't buy it, But is that a reason to "hate" it?

JL is overpriced. For the money you spend on them, there is always something better out there for that price or cheaper. I'd take my TC9 over a W7 anyday.
Honest Ranking:
well, they all really suck....
JL - overpriced SQ sub
Kicker - just SPL sub
Earthquake - garbage
Try a real subwoofer like JBL, TC Sounds, SoundSplinter, Adire....
They are > than the others....
