Inverting Subs?

Ok i have a question for you folks. Will inverting subs affect the output or SQ? The sub in question is the new Alpine Type R, i really like the basket on the sub and would like to build a custom box into my spare tire well. I wanted to have the sub loaded inverted to show off the basket, toss in some lights to give it a little extra. I do know that when you invert a sub you need to hook (-) to (+) and (+) to (-) so the subs arn't 180 (degrees, ascii ain't working for me).

it matters on the air space in the vechile. most of the time it will down grade itJUST ONE MORE AMP!!!

Do a search for inverting subs.  You'll get plenty of information.That's my opinion. Take it, leave it, or correct me.
