I am trying to find out if anyone has any experinece with the Diamond D9 subs.  I am looking to run a D9 10" dual 2 ohm sub in my system.  I have a new JL audio 10W6 Dual 4 ohm, and I am contemplating as to which sub to use.  The Jl would be getting 300W at 2 or 8 ohm if used and the diamond would be getting 600w at 4ohm?.  What sub would sound better under these conditons?

How can you get a larger power number at 4 ohms then at 2 ohms? Are you using two differant amps?

I haven't heard any diamond subs in person but I've done several subs with the W6's and those are some pretty clean subs.

the amp that I have is a diamond audio D7152, it is 150x2 at 4ohm, 300x2 at 2ohm and 600x1 at 4ohm,  The amp is not stable bridged at 2 ohm.  The Jl is a dual 4 ohm, so I can only run it at either 300w at 2 ohm from 1 channel or run it at 300w at 8ohm bridged between the 2.  The diamopnd is a dual 2 ohm so i can wire it to 4 ohm and thus get 600w to it.

Both subs sound great. My preference is the Diamond, quality is great, sound is tight and strong, and they are capable of playing very loud.
