OK, guys, I have a question.  I am thinking about upgrading my alternator.  Right now I have a 100 AMP delco in my truck (97 Chevy Ext Cab).  I am wondering how big I should go.  I am running 2 MTX Thunder 302 (2 30 amp fuses each), 3 MTX Thunder 250D (2 20 amp fuses each), 1 MTX 3 way crossover (20 amp fuse), 1 Audio Control Epicenter ( 30 amp fuse), and a Power Accustic 2 Farad Cap.  I am also running bomb effect projector headlights, if they draw any extra.  I have found alternators that produce 160, 200, and 250 amps locally.  Which one would get me buy without overdoing it.

well the voltage is 12 to 14.4 or 5 anyway amps is what you want the 250 will do what you need and have some left over. you can't really overdo it. it only puts out what the systems draw.
