i have an audiobahn a18001dt that i ran across. it appears to be very unhappy though. it is putting out 30 volts dc from the speaker terminals with no input signal (the polarity is reversed too). anybody wanna tell me what to look for inside it to fix it? ive looked and found no visual indication that anything has popped. i was thinking maybe the caps were messed up?

Sounds like it's passing rail voltage through, which usually means the output transisters are blown.  Trash.

I believe the last word in the last post was trash, and the subject manner was audiobahn. I would suggest trash it even if it works.30v dc out speaker terminal? -- posted image. cut it in half with a nice whiz disk and check it out from the inside, there may be something deep in there broken you wont be able to know unless you disect it.30v dc out speaker terminal? -- posted image.
