I've tried searching and can't find anything. I'm looking for any type of recent sales figures for the car audio industry in 2005.

" Car audio: After-market autosound sales rose 4 percent in 2005 to $2.43 billion, but they would have fallen markedly if were not for satellite radio, whose sales, including transportable plug-and-play units and home docking stations, are included in the autosound category by CEA.

Factory-level satellite radio sales rose 46 percent in dollars to $605.4 million and 24 percent in units to 7.36 million, CEA statistics show.

The statistics exclude automaker sales of autosound and satellite radio."

It won't help when we transition into the 42 volt market........ looks grim for aftermarket audio/video if you ask me in the next 10 years. Also, the 4 % sales increase probably doesn't reflect the 5-8 % price increases on products because of the price of copper & transportation costs Car audio industry sales figures? -- posted image.

the 42 volt system will slow htings down again...but just magine what kind of power we can make once all the new gear can take 42volt .

more information about this 42volt? im intrigued, and doing HVAC and some plumbing, yeah this copper stuff sucks. save scraps, once a month we get about 100 in scrap that the yard pays us for junk.
