mk i have 2 15 inch kicker l7's model number s15l7's and a 1500 watt d class hifonics brutus to power them will this be enough power? also how should i wire them?

I agree. The main thing is make sure you have them in the right enclosure. Thats the key when it comes to a subs performance.

the kid who had them before me had them wired positive to neg. pos. to neg on each woffer. would this cause bad sound?

No, his amp must not have been 1 ohm stable.

he was running it off this amp and the subs sounded like they were distorting so i took htem out of the box and noticed how they were wired

either his amp wasnt 1 ohm stable or he had no idea how to wire 2 dvc's
