Removing Seats From '05 F150

I'm getting ready to install 3 amps in my truck. I want to put them under the seats, because I am putting an MTX Thunderform 2-12 behind the seat, and I don't think there will be enough room there. Has anyone removed the 60/40 non power seats from a base model F-150? The front screws seem accesable, but there is a plastic cover that makes the rear ones hard to get to. Any advice on removal and placement (easy guys) of the amps would be appreciated. Thanks,

Does the amps have fans built in or are they strictly heat sinks ? Is there room behind the back seat area to place the amplifier's and also what kind are they ? Also the plastic bolt cover you can usually pry off with a screw driver or a pry tool.Jeff

The Amps are: (2) Rockford Fosgate 37.5 watt per side and (1) Lighning Audio 250 Watt Sub Amp None of the amps have fans, all heat sinks. I have the Thunderform box, and it does not appear to have any place to mount an amp. I'm thinkin' the only place these may go is under the seats.Remember this is the base model F150, no back seats. Thanks for all the input........

The thunderform amplified enclosures have the amps built into the enclosure & I have just reached the 10 G mark today

Even if there's no back seats can you attach a MDF board on the back of the cab to attach the 3 amplifiers or does the enclosure take up this amount of room ?

Jeff, Congrats on the 10K milestone! My Thunderform box is non-amplified. I have not tested it for fit yet (since I cannot figure out the seat removal situation) but eyeballing it tells me there is not going to be much room left back there. I would much prefer to do an installation like you are suggesting, but I don't think it's all going to fit...... Thanks,

According to the instructions here you don't need to remove the seats at all, just slide them forward and your good to go. Also, from the pics that they used you can attach an amp between the two subs and one above each of the subs on the back of the truck. Attach an MDF board to the back of the Thunderform to stability and your good to go.Jeff
