Small amp for stock stereo

I have a 2005 Ford Escape with the basic AM/FM 6-disk changer (non mach) with no pre-amp outs on it. I want to keep the stock system and stock speakers.

Im just looking to get a little more volume from the system. I know I need an amp with "speaker-level inputs", What I do not know is 2 channel / 4 channel or what else is reqired so I can still use the sterios ballance and fade controls?

I know I should change everything, but right now that is not an option, Any suggestions on an spesific inexpencive amp? One small enough that I could tuck it up out of sight in the dash?

I do have a JVC KS-AG214, four channel amplifier. Its kind of large 10" X 10" X 1" about 10 lbs. The specs are as follows: (All greek to me) Do you thik this will work for me? That is if I can find a place to mount it. Or do you think its to big and will destroy the factory speakers?

Now I have to see if I can find a place to mount it. I use every inch of the vehical for material I carry for work, thats why I was hoping to find somthing alot smaller that I can tuck in the dash, that way I wouldnt need to run alot of new wiring. Im guessing if I use this amp im going to have to run a new heavy wire for the feed? maybe not? oppinions? Can you point me to a link on how to ajust the gain?

Im going to post on over on the buy / forum, I have a disk changer maybe I could swap that and this amp.
