I recently bought a Alpine CDA-9851 Mp3/WMA cd receiver.
After i installed it a set all the bass levels, teble levels, sub levels ect through the head unit using the rotary encoder.
However, when i turend the car off then came back and turned the head unit back on i foun that the settings i had made had been deleted and returned to 0.
Does anyone have any ideas about how to fix the problem?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your CONSTANT wire ( YELLOW ) is not attached to constant power rather 12 volt switched. Find a constant 12 volt source and this will fix the problem.

I agree with Jeff, I would check my constant first, but if it has power I would make sure the "defeat" is not on.
There is no such thing as free installation!
