Hello, i am very new to this so i beg you please have patience. I am about to run a sytem of the following :-

2x Fusion Powerplant speakers

2x Fusion Components

1 Fusion Amp and 1 Fusion Sub

I want to run the sub off the amp and the other speakers off the head unit till i can afford to get another amp for them. I have already uprated the battery, but need to know wether it will be sufficient to power the whole system, or will i need to run a seperate battery for it? I am currently driving a reliant robin 1992!

What series amp? That will tell us how much power you are drawing....before adding a second battery it is best to upgrade what makes the power in the car, your alternaotr!

Apologies, I realise that you will need much more info so here are the specs:-

2x Fusion EN-CM65 240 WATTS COMPONENT SPEAKERS

2X Fusion EN-CM65 Tweeters

2x Fusion EN-CM65 X-OVERS

2X Fusion PP-FR693 Powerplant 6x9'' 3 Way Speakers

1x Fusion fe-402 Amplifier

1x Fusion 600 Watt Encounter Subwoofer

1x Pioneer DEH-P6800MP 50 Watt x 4 MAX OUTPUT or 50 Watt x2/ 4 ohmms +70 Watt x 1/2 ohmms (for subwoofer)

I think that is it, any advice would be much appreciated as to how i should wire it/ what wire/ additional power source.

Have just found out that my 1992 Reliant Robin has a 55 amp alternator. So will i need to go higher with the system spec i have?

ive never even heard of a reliant robin lol, yes i would upgrade your altinator to a 140 amp just in case you want to add more power in the future. its better to have more power then you need, your headlights wont flash and your bass wont cut out during peak bass

I would upgrade the "big 3" before shelling out the money for an alternator.

You really wouldn't need a high output alternator for a 400 watt amp. Like flakman said, just do "the big 3" and you should be fine. What kind of amp are you thinking about for the speakers?

From what i can workout with all the electrical items switched on in the car it would use 35 amps. And as my alternator is 55 amps even with just the head unit 200 watt and amp and sub 400 watt running, will that be too much for the battery to cope with straight off? I know it has killed my battery twice now so any advice you could give would be helpful. cheers

Got the specs for the amp i have, thought maybe i could get another one of these or maybe use this for the components and another for the sub?
