enclosure problem

Sounds like a cancelling issue to me.  Try positioning the box in different ways if possible to see if that makes a difference.

sounds like cancellations also...how did you know that alignment would work well with that vehicle anyways before building the box...should have stuck with keeping the subs and ports on the same plane. but you can try moving the box in different positions

put the subs at the back of the trunk, face the subs toward the front of the car and that should sound alot better, but like everyone else said you are having serious cancelation issues. you're getting more bass output with the trunk open because the front wave is allowed to escape outside the car and not cancel out the rear wave coming from the ports. move the box and you'll be amazed how much better it will sound.git yer swerve on!
