hi i was just wondering if anybody knows how to mod the mtx 8100d to be able to run 1 ohm stable. I just bought a 15" kicker L7 2 ohm dvc and i want to run it at 1 ohm. Ive been reading all over the net that people have modded these amps to be able to run 1 ohm.
Can someone please help me my box is built im just waiting to mod the amp to connect it up
Thanks
Jeff

You need to buy mine, so when, I mean if you blow yours up you will have an extra one. I'll sell it real cheap...

lol i don't need another one but if i do ill let you know. how do you mod them to be able to play at 1 ohm. Is it safe to do it or will the amp be easier to blow. the sub is a dual 2 ohm so i want to run it at 1 ohm cause the sub is 1000 rms and 2000 peak the box its in is 5 cu.ft with a 50 square port 15" long tunned to 33 hz so it will be loud i just want to make it pound hard by running it at 1 ohm
thanks

It is not safe, there is no "Mod" you just hook it up.     But more then likely you will be replacing your amp atol quicker then expected, when a manufacturer states a amp is 1, 2 or 4 ohm stable that is the minimum impedance that can be safely ran.
If you decided to put an unsafe load on your equipment, then prepare for a wrost case scenario
