I have a infiniti i30 1996 and going to be installing an alarm system with keyless entry. When I was looking at wiring diagrams, it states that the power door lock wire is located in drivers door at switch. Are you kidding me? So I have to run the wire from my dash to the driver's door. Is there a better way? Please any help will be appreciated.

Thats what i did to a 98 i30 last week...no biggie

To test the wires you may need turn the key in the door cyllinder to get a reading.

Nope, you have to run into the doors on this one and remember to set your unit to double pulse for unlock.

Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.

Yeah, I've never been able to find them on the inside on those cars.

Don't forget that on the car's body, just below the rubber boot for the wiring, is an unused black plug. You can run your wires through there, to make things a little easier.

I would suggest making your connections right at the power window switch. That way, in the future, if there's a problem you have to fix, you can just pop out the window switch, instead of taking the whole door panel off again.
