First off thanks to all the help in advance. i have done alarms before but not remote start. so im kind of a newbie to this. So i thought its about time i learned. I just bought the prestige aps997a and have done everything except the remote start. I started wiring the remote start 3 days ago, and i hit a dead end. i have gone through every single forum here about this alarm and my truck and have not gotten anywhere. So here are my 2 problems first yesterday after finishing up my parking lights stopped working. I checked my fuses and everything is fine, i then saw that my power seat was not working either i don't know if i blew a fuse or what, so next is the problem with the remote start, so i have the 6 pin main power harness and i hooked up purple(acc) to cars light green, blue (ign.1) to cars red w light green, red (bat.2) to cars yellow, red w white(bat.1) to cars yellow, yellow(start) to the cars red. its got the inhibit relay and said it goes on the starter side so i hooked it to the black wire on the relay which is the side going out to the starter. the last wire is green(ign.2) which i didn,t connect since my truck does not have that.  Now besides that i connected the GREEN/ orange which is tach wire to one of the injector wires i just avoided the WHITE/ blue like most threads said. last i hooked up the BROWN / black (+) shutdown from brake light switch to the tan/red on the trucks brake pedal switch. I tried to detail as much as i could. I will appreciate all replies.

your unit might not be remote starting because you have your hood pin constantly on GROUND. since 02 explorers only come in auto, make sure you have grounded the E-Brake Wire from the unit. THe Ebrake can also be found as Neutral or Hand Brake Safety - just secure this wire to ground.

the unit only has that BROWN / black shutdown brake wire, besides that its got a parking brake input but it says to only use that when you use a turbo timer so i don't know what other wire it could be. If its any help here is a link to the manual. on the last page is all the wiring

http://www.audiovox.com/manuals/installation/1287402.pdf

When i try to remote start it just says inhibit on the lcd remote.

yes i did program it, then i disconnected the module when i started the remote start so i don't know if it unprogrammed. But i don't know how to program it now cause my parking lights won't flash and i don't know how to get that fixed yet. so i won't know when its actually programmed if i tried.

Do you have the 2 pin remote start on/off switch plugged in and turned on?

First of all you need to pull all the fuses in your truck to find out why the parking lights aren't working. Check both fuse boxes and remove each fuse and visually inspect it. You should find a blown fuse somewhere but you need to find out why you blew the fuse in the first place

I just checked all my fuses they are all fine. the weird part is that my power seats aren't working either and each one has it's own fuse, but they are both good.
