99 dakota clutch bypass

I have a compustar 1w900fm s with the 4200 brain. I've been having some problems trying to get the clutch bypass to work. If I disconnect the clutch switch and just connect the two wires together it will start but I can't make it work with the clutch switch intact. I need to use a relay, right? 85 - constant 12v 30 - one clutch wire 87 - other clutch wire 86 - ? Should I be using the (-)2nd starter output or the ground when running output? Or is there a different way to do this? Thanks, Jon

Thanks! The remote starter works and you still have to push the clutch in to start it with the key. Jon
