Hey, I'm installing an alarm/remote start and need to find the color of the air conditioning wire under the dash.. It's not listed on the sheet in the database.
Thanks

Do you have a volt meter, or access to one?

I do, and I did test some wires that showed +12 volts when the car is on and the air conditioning working, but I would either have to solder on to each wire to test the system or somehow only unplug each wire to see of the air conditioning turned off - big hassle. The fuse box doesn't even have a dedicated air conditioning fuse I could pull to test the wire (at least it is not listed on the panel).
I was just hoping someone has a schematic or reference to tell me which color wire it was and where it was located (besides pulling the whole console apart)...

I owned a 91 civic, as far as I can remember the AC button was a latching switch.  As long as the AC is on when you kill the car, it should be on when it is remote started.    Have you installed the remote start unit already?   Or are you just anticipating the AC not working with the remote start.    The ignition switch went bad in the car that I had,  I had to use a couple of relays to get it working.  It would allow enough current to trip a relay, but would not power the car.  As far as I can remember there were only a few wires on it.  1 Ignition and one accessory wire, along with the wire that powered the switch.  As KarTuneMan stated, power those wires and leave your air on and it should work out for you.

How about just remembering to leave the AC turned ON when you get out of the car?

I did complete the install (Viper 560XV) and even though the air conditioning was on when I turned off the car it did not come on upon remote start - although the fan did come on, the light on the AC button did not and the compressor did not engage.

How many wires are there in the Ignition switch harness?  Should be Constant, Ignition accessory and start.  If there are any more wires, there may be 2 Ignition wires, use a volt meter to verify.   With the vehicle remote started, if you hit the AC button, does it light up?

The AC button is a latching switch, isn't it??
