I have an 07 Aveo Hatchback and have installed a 160XV. My car has the transponder system installed. I got a diag code of  (+/-) shutdown. What does this mean?  Also I connected wires for the lock/unlock into the relay under the passenger kickpanel. But it does nothing. And finally when I got to crank it remotly it does nothing. any ideas. Thank you all so much

Thank you for replying, I got everything to work except for the lock/unlock. I'm not sure where to hook into. I connected to the central door lock box on the RH side of the car but that doesnt work. I can hear relays under the center console. on that box (under the e-brake handle) it says its the alarm but there is a small antenna coming out of it. I have a feeling thats where i need to hook into. But which wires.  Whats strange is My car has the transponder key system but the 160xv will crank the car without a key anywhere near it.  Thanks for your help

Hello, I wired a Viper 160xv into my 07 aveo hatchback.  I have connected everything except the door locks. I went to the door module on the rh kickpanle like the diagram states but it doesnt work. I do have the transponder system in mine. Where exactly do I connect for the dorrs lock/unlock and the alarm disarm.  Whats wierd is I can unlock my car with the original keys and then use the remote start to start it. but if the car is locked the alarm will go off and wont start.  I would love to use the viper door lock/unlock because of the range.

Wrong, it's sold here US models, Aveo Lock Lt. Blue, Unlock White; disarm factory alarm BROWN / blue or purple, all in RKE (Keyless entry module) in centre console adjacent to parking brake.

Aveo5 Lock grey, unlock  lt. green; at factory lock module, passenger kickwell; disarm factory alarm, dark blue in driver's door loom. All neg going, i.e. ground each to get the result.

Awsome thank you very much. I was looking around and had seen the module just forward of the emerg. brake handle but havent had time to look any further into it.
