I'm planning on using the toydl (databus) door lock interface instead of going through the doors. I'm looking at the instructions online and it states for one of the wires.....Brown (-) negative ground out when running remote start....Is this used for the keysense of the remote start?

Its for a 2004 Toyota Highlander Non Oem security

thanks

you dont need to hook that up...    just the doorlock wires to your unit and the data wire in the DKP (plus power & ground obviously)

If you don't mind having all five doors unlock at once (no driver's-priority unlock), it's easy to grab the lock wires in the passenger kick panel---no need to go into the door.

with a TOYDL you dont need to go into the door... the data wire is right there in the drivers kick .... it's a 3 minute hookup and you get priority unlock as well.....
