Hi guys, I have a problem with my alarm(viper 790xv) I have to replace my remote and got the 479v. I do not have the remote start feature hooked up. I followed the steps on the back of the package  to program the remote for standard configuration, but for some reason it programs to the single button configuration. What can be the problem? Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I think your'e old 790XV needs to have the remote programmed into position 6 or 7, NOT 1, like it says on the back of the package.  Open the door, turn the key and press and release the valet button SIX times, then press and hold, then press lock.  Try that.  You may have to do position SEVEN.  If you can peek at a 790XV manual, for TX programming, that would tell you, 6 or 7.  but position 1 OEM Config, is for the 791 and newer systems.
