I have a 05 Silverado I am putting a RS on.  All the diagrams I can find shows Ign 2 to be a white wire and I can't find it to save my life!!  I've looked at bigger and smaller ones and I just can't find a white in the ignition harness.  Does anyone have any ideas??

Also...is there a way to grab a positive domelight circuit and set the delay instead of having to diode all 4 doors??

Thanks in advance for the help!!

Man it's there, never saw one without. It's a larger guage wire, same as the pink. As for the door triggers, other than using a module you must get individual door wires. The positive light wire will false when the BCM sleeps...

You mentioned a module....I am using a GM-SL for the truck....is there one of those I could tie onto for the door triggers?? I remember seeing one marked door something, but wasn't sure and I ranout of time....so thats why I was asking here.

Thanks for the help.

OK...edit to above.

I went out and double checked it all to make sure I was right. What I have for wire colors is below:

Large wires going to module towards front of truck (with a bunch of smaller wires also):

~Red & RED / White - 12volts
~Yellow - Starter
~Pink - Ignition 1

Large wires going to driver side module behind fuse panel:

~Brown & Orange for ACC wires
~Yellow - ??  Shows characteristics of Ign 2 wire and it all works properly using this...but I only did it for testing...didn't leave that way until I get a sure answer.

On the other issue of the door trigger...on the GM-SL, it has a White wire marked:

(-) OUTPUT (door trigger)

I am assuming this means, OUTPUT from the module for the door trigger wire on the RS unit, correct??

Thanks again for the help...I appreciate it!!

the white wire you need is to the left of the steering column. it doesnt stay with the rest of the harness coming from the ignition switch. i guess the best way i can describe it is that it "splits off" to the left from the rest of the harness and goes into a box behind the fuse box. it just unplugs from there.

Nope...not there.  I just went through that whole harness again and nothing there!!  It's truly weird!!

The one in mine that goes off to the fuse panel is a yellow. And it mimics what the Ign 2 is supposed to do.  Like I said... I have been through this harness and nada on a white wire!!

Not sure if being a Canadian model matters.....but I wouldn't think so.  2005 Chevy Silverado LS Crewcab with Bose and power everything.  Only thing it don't have is leather seats!  I have done several other Chevy trucks and the white was there....thats why this has me thrown so much!!!!

That wire that "looks" yellow,  but tests as second ignition IS the second ignition.  I've done a few that had that wierd color for the second ignition.
