I am installing a Hornet 569T which has "parking light flash" feature in my 08 jeep wrangler.

Is there a simple wiring work-around so that I can have the parking lights remain on steady during auto start rather than flashing?

The 569T doesn't offer a programable option & starting the car in the dark draws unwanted attention when those lights are flashing away like that.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Here's another way, take a spare output, eg ign2 or heater, go the white light feed on the 569 via a 1N54xxx series diode, band towards the white wires, if you are using both wires use 2 diodes. 3rd idea. Use the status output to a relay, 85, 12v+ to 87 and 86, 30 to whites on 569. Note if light feeds are neg, use the status output to 85, 12+ to 86, ground to 87 ans 30 as before, again if 2 whites, diode them, pos, ban towards white, negative, bands towards relay.

howie,

I am a little confused.. you said...

"take a spare output, eg ign2 or heater, go the white light feed on the 569 via a 1N54xxx series diode, band towards the white wires, if you are using both wires use 2 diodes"

Can you clarify? Do you mean take the 2nd accesory output from the 569T (which i am not presently using) and go to the parking light wire of my vehicle? And if I diode the connection which way does the band go? towards the remote start unit or towards the parking light wires of the vehicle?

Sorry I am a little slow.

Thanks again.

Does your light output from the 569t have one wire or two and is it set pos or neg? If 1 wire just join it to you unused acc wire from the 529. If 2 wires, diode out with the bans towards the white wires. (I think that unit only has one white wire) If the white wire(s) are negative going, (you would have had to set that) then use a relay, acc to 86, ground to 87 and 85, 30 to white wire(s). Hope that clears it up.

I must be a complete idiot.... but if i connect the white wire from the 569 to the unussed accesory wire on the 569 (diode or no), how does that make my lights on the vehicle go on?  In other words what am I connecting to the vehicle's parking light wire?

Thanks for your patience.

Read your 569t's instructions,  "plug H1/8 white wire, parking flash output" why are we bothering if you don't know what your parking light output is?

I think you are misunderstanding me.

I know what all the wires are........but you seem to be telling me to connect that output (H1/8) to another 5689T output the Acessory 2 (which is H2/something)....which makes no sense to me.....it is like holding hands with myself....you dig?

Did you mean to say to first attach the H1/8 white wire together with the 2nd accessory and THEN connect both to the vehicle & this would result in the parking lights staying on steady during remote start? Because that would be wonderful.

Please don't yell at me, I am very fragile.hornet 569t, 2008 jeep wrangler -- posted image.
