I understand how to select mode and what option, but how do you know what function you are on? just with the function button on the remote?

Read the manual again. Flash the hoodpin and press and hold the brake pedal. Press the lock button for Mode 1. You can know start programming each function within this mode. Release the brake pedal. Use the lock button for option 1, unlock for option 2, trunk for option 3 and start for option 4 for each of the functions within Mode 1. The parking lights will flash the same number of times as which option you have chosen. Once Mode 1 is programmed, the parking lights will come on again. Hold the brake pedal while pressing the unlock button. This will put you into programming of Mode 2. Use the remote buttons to program each function within this mode. Do the same for Mode 3 & 4. Press the brake pedal down after Mode 4 is done and hold both the lock and unlock buttons down together to get into Tach programming.

Im sorry if i sound really dumb for this and thank you for all of your help, I read it again and just says "after selecting the function, press one of the corresponding buttons to select the option." No where does it say what function I am in.
