remote start problem

All of a sudden my remote start will only work if I am sitting in the car (this after I adjusted sensitivity on the shock sensor). Something else that is strange, I can be down the street and pressing the remote button will kill the engine as it is expected to work. I at first thought it was the battery, but both remotes work as explained above. Thanks in advance..

uplug unit for 30seconds, make sure a connection didnt come loose and then plug back all connections.
