2000 jetta side mirror wire

I am trying to install a Z3 side mirrors and I need to know the following wire colors.

Turn signal

Left, right, up and down power mirror

any help would be great. thanks in advance.

you can always take a voltage multi-meter and check the voltage on the wires as you hit the button to move the mirrors.

BLACK/ white = left turn, BLACK/ green right turn...or maybe it's the other way round anyway why are you asking such a basic question, t&t gave you the answer OR look at the wiring to the rear lenses, with a test meter.

If you can determine which of the wires are going to the motors, there should be 2 wires to each motor, 12v on one wire and ground on the other wire will make it move one way.  Reverse the wires and it moves the other way.  I do not know if Howie gave you the VW colors or the BMW colors.  But I am sure we can get it working for you.

I gave the VW colours, BMW prob blue/brown and blue / YELLOW? Can't remember the second colour.

thanks for the help but now i have another problem. I set everything up except for the turn signal, im not too worried about it. But the wires from the stock set up are a little funny. There is one wire that moves the mirror up and right, and another wire to move it down and left. the set up for the mirror is a 3 wire setup. so one of the wires is used for all four directions. The way it is set up now is that it only moves the mirror left and right. Im totaly lost now.
