has anyone heard of this i have a 2003 chevy trailblazer wont start with key it doesnt have a remote start in it    when i turn the key to the start nothing happens doesnt try to start    the dash lights up like it usually would \ checked fuses none blown

Check the battery to make sure that it's properly charged. Next, check the starter relay or fuse in the engine compartment fuse panel with a DMM. What happened prior to the truck not starting, any information will help us.

ok fuses are good no symtoms before the problem just wouldnt start last night and again this morn   if i play with the ing and tap on the column i can get it to start

it's most likely a worn out lock cylinder. it's causing the passlock to not work properly, thus you get a no start condition.

kinda what i was thinking   do i need a scan tool to replace the ing cyl if not how do i code the existing key to the cyl

bypass module would let you use normal key to start. By normal I meant with out the built in "chip".
The worn out cylinder is the ACTUAL problem though.

Those ignition cylinders seem to be a little more frail than most, especially if you have a lot of keys and/or keychains.  the extra weight pulls on the ignition cylinders and causes it to fail....kind of gay if you ask me, but that's GM for you.  My sister has a ton of keychains and i'm just waiting for her to have the same problem you are.....already told her about this prob too.

it was the ing Switch not the cyl
