I'm wanting to install a remote start on my 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel truck. I have the following sitting here brand new:
Python 991 (alarm with remote start)
Xpresskit DLPKKICH3
I have done a remote start install years ago, but it was very basic and on an older vehicle. But I can do it is my point. I don't need the alarm functions, just the remote start. The part I'm unsure of (and the instructions don't specify) is: what all does the DLPKKICH3 perform, and which connections do I need to make with the Python?
I know that sounds stupid and basic, but it is somewhat new to me. I'm unsure if the CAN bus part of the DLPKKICH3 does the lights?
Starter?
I know it does locks and ignition key fooling, but does it do the actual energizing of the system?
Am I just to hook up the power to the Python and let the interface take care of the rest?
Any assistance would be great. Thanks.

So does that mean basically if I want just remote start functionality, I can hook up just the connections necessary to power the Python, and it gets its info via D2D from the DLPKKICH3? And the DLPKKICH3 just does all the functions including starting through just the CAN connection?
