trying to delete remotes from a 5901. on page 36 of the install guide it tell you that it is the second step in the pair remotes. i have tried everything and i cant seem to get them to delete. i am assuming you dont need the remote because that would be redundant if i lost it. any help would be appreciated

you need 1 working remote to delete all remotes from programming thewn you would have to reprogram that one remote you have and want to use, if youhave no remotes just program the new remote when you get it the max number of times that the remote memory holds(so if it hold 4 remotes program the one you get 4 times ) etc

if you only have one transmitter that is not programmed into your system you will have to program that remote first - exit programming - enter menu for deleting all transmitters - delete all transmitters - then reprogram your remote again...   seems tedious but only takes a min to do all of that...
