It took me all day yesterday, but I got my DEI 545t Night Light system installed. I found some things I didn't like while installing it like the way the parking lights flash when controlled by an auxiliary output. I got done at night, so now testing it in the day, I noticed that the headlights are always on. I noticed on the bottom of the install manual that it has daytime running lights. I do not want this feature. It says to disable it that I need to cut the red loop. I have no idea what this is talking about. The only red loop that I can remember is the power wire connecting the two relays. It seems to me that if I cut this wire, one of my relays wont work.
How do I disable the daytime running lights feature of the 545T?
(What red loop is it talking about?)
Thanks

hi,

according to the manual, the red loop is inside the unit.  open the case and peek inside?

Ween is correct. The red wire loop is inside the case of the controller.
Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.

Yeah I found it. I never saw it when setting the duration. Mine was hiding under the plastic. Thanks for the input.
