Hi i have a 2002 volkswagen golf 1.4 which i am installing remote start on can anyone tell me the colour of the tach wire and where its located. thanks

If it has a coil it's light GREEN/ red at the coil, otherwise the injectors, any of the odd coloured wires.

No but then you have to run Siren and hood switch wires through (although you can pick up hood switch inside depending on whether or not there's a factory alarm and or factory power windows, if so you've got to get into the driver's door for the locks and window close as well). Drop the glove box and come through the main grommet on the nearside. It's a fussy car, the ignition and starter wires are a nightmare, you will need a 556U for the bypass, what make of alarm R/S are you using?
