First time trying to do this and posting as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated. For remote starter, I'm using Viper 160XVL with TBX Key Universal Transponder Bypass. I believe that the wiring is correct but I have the following questions:

Is the relay harness (with the heavy gauge wires) suppose to connect with the primary harness? If so, by using which connectors? The TBX says that blue needs to go GWR from the RCS- How? which wire is that on the RCS? In the instructions, it says that the heavy gauge Green wire needs to go to the Starter Input From Ignition - where is that? Will the car start without the TBX connected to the Viper unit?

The satellite relay will connect to the heavy gauge wires exitting the back of the ignition switch, I don't understand when you say with the primary harness, the red wire is the only wire that will be connecting to direct twelve volts along with the three fused wires from the heavy gauge wires of the relay!

The blue wire on your bypass will connect to the blue/white wire from the remote starter!

the starter and ignition along with accesory and power wires will be found again at the back of your ignition switch.

The bypass is not for the remote starter per say, it is to bypass the factory immobiliser for the remote start to function, so technically if your starter were in another vehicle without the immobiliser yes it would start without the tbx unit, but not so in your case!

First, thanks for the help and patience. So then for this RS, the satelitte relay does not connect to the primary harness? (this 12 pin- harness has wires for the horn, domelite, etc). So I'm wondering that after connecting the satellite relay wires to the ignition switch, am I done with that part? I looked at other do-it-yourself units and they had just one unit that had all the wires to connect. But with the viper, the relay and the primary harness was separate pieces. Now the blue wire on my bypass should go to blue/white from the remote starter? From the RS manual, it says that the blue/white is for defogger output. Could it be the WHITE/ blue instead? which in the instructions is the remote start activation input. Currently, I wasn't sure where to connect this WHITE/ blue wire to the car. So, should the bypass blue wire go here and does the WHITE/ need to go somewhere to the car? By the way, where does the heavy gauge green wire go to on the element.

Here we go again!

No the satellite does not connect to the primary harness!

After connecting the satellite at the ignition switch you're done with that part, nothing else!

The blue wire goes to the blue/white wire from the remote start, this is the GWR wire! I made no mistake, it is not the WHITE/ blue! That WHITE/ blue is unused in this instance, you can either remove it from the harness entirely (my preferred choice) or just insulate the end!

The white wire is the parking light circuit, connect this to the wire that turns on the parking lights in the vehicle!

The green wire goes to the starter wire, you have to cut he starter wire in half and the green goes to the side from the ignition switch and the violet to the other side of the wire!

Also, do you have a wiring schematic for this vehicle, along with a meter!

I think we're not sure what you mean by "primary harness."
You've got the main "brain" of the unit, which should be labeled 160XV or whatever it is, and then the small relay pack with big heavy wires coming out of it, which says XCRS I believe.
So, from the XCRS: You have all the heavy wires, that go to the heavy-gauge wiring coming down the steering column.
Then there's a little 4-pin plug with short wires coming from the XCRS, which shouldn't be needed for anything in your car.
Then there's what we call the "ribbon cable," because, well, it's flat and looks like a ribbon......thin wires with pink, orange, purple, and others. One end plugs into the XCRS, and the other end plugs into the 160XV.
Also, the blue/white is not only a defroster output. It serves other functions as well, and the Viper's install manual should explain the various programming options for that output.

I did everything according to Chris and T- now when I press the remote, lock dock beeps and led flash. Pressing the unlock will stop the flash. Car will not start and door functionality does not work. Where did I go wrong?

There are alot of possiblities! Have you grounded your BLACK/ white neutral safety wire, the hood switch wire must not be seeing ground either, for remote starting purposes!

Are you testing wires? The locks are straight negative trigger!

Thanks again for the prompt response. I'll go back and trace every wire and step. I'll post back in a day or so.
