I'm having a retard moment here and need some help. R/S on a '06 Dodge Dakota, using a PKUCG2X transponder bypass. The antenna loop is huge compared to the ignition cylinder so do I take the loop apart so that is wraps tight on the ignition ? Directions also call for 3 or 5 turns of loop and there has to be about 50 strands of copper in it? This is the first install I've had to use an antenna loop on and it's also the first install giving me way to much grieve to get around the OEM immobilizer.
Thanks in advance,
Dave

Another question, do I need to use two different keys when programming the PKUCG2X? Instructions don't say so, but I saw a reference in another thread about 2 keys.

Loop the antenna around the cylinder like you would a rubber band.(I'm not saying that it stretches!! I'm saying in the way you twist to loop)
Try to start it semi tight around the cylinder, and its ok if it ends up a little loose at the end. i haven"t had a problem with it being hard to pickup because of that.
And i think you still need two keys to do the programming. i don't know any other transponder that doesn't require the two key programming.

I saw some bypass mentioned by luongo or pierson about only needing one key with a new bypass...Yes you need two keys...You can temporarily hold the loop in place with some electrical tape...Maybe even for good...! ...The bypass loop already is "wrapped"...The 50 strands you refered to...! You could of always used a universal key bypass...And got another key programmed...One without the keyless built in...Although there is still a loop...!

the new idata firmware allows you to do a vehicle with only one key.... all the bypass and expresskit units require two keys.....
